One month ago today, mom and I were treated to a hotel stay at the Sheraton at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam to await Steve and Bryan's arrival. Our stay was a haven. Mom and I were tired from traveling for 3 weeks already and our first hotel stay in Europe was a rather questionable hotel in downtown Amsterdam. Our wonderful friends Urot and Ok decided to make arrangements for the rest of our stay in Amsterdam and Geldrop so as not to have any more negative experiences. Steve and Bryan's plane arrived pretty much on schedule. We rented a car and proceeded to drive to Geldrop some two hours away. We arrived unscathed despite our inexperience or rather Steve's inexperience driving in Europe. I navigated. :)
The purpose of our visit to Geldrop was to celebrate our friend Ok's retirement and birthday.
Samantha, my goddaughter took me for a bike ride(I was the passenger) around town. Urot happened to be in Eindhoven shopping and would meet us later.
We went to the grocer for wings (yes! Dutch wings!) and sandwiches for our supper. The party was the next day so we went to bed early.
